The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 95% of 1950.
95% means 95 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 95 from 100, I have X from 1950 :
95 |
100 |
X |
1950 |
100 ----> 95
1950 ----> X
X =95 x 1950 |
100 |
X = (95 x 1950) / 100
X = 1852.5
So, 95% of 1950 is 1852.5.
