The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 83% of 2377.
83% means 83 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 83 from 100, I have X from 2377 :
83 |
100 |
X |
2377 |
100 ----> 83
2377 ----> X
X =83 x 2377 |
100 |
X = (83 x 2377) / 100
X = 1972.91
So, 83% of 2377 is 1972.91.
