The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 70% of 2748.
70% means 70 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 70 from 100, I have X from 2748 :
70 |
100 |
X |
2748 |
100 ----> 70
2748 ----> X
X =70 x 2748 |
100 |
X = (70 x 2748) / 100
X = 1923.6
So, 70% of 2748 is 1923.6.
