The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 6% of 22241.
6% means 6 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 6 from 100, I have X from 22241 :
6 |
100 |
X |
22241 |
100 ----> 6
22241 ----> X
X =6 x 22241 |
100 |
X = (6 x 22241) / 100
X = 1334.46
So, 6% of 22241 is 1334.46.
