The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 54% of 1155.
54% means 54 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 54 from 100, I have X from 1155 :
54 |
100 |
X |
1155 |
100 ----> 54
1155 ----> X
X =54 x 1155 |
100 |
X = (54 x 1155) / 100
X = 623.7
So, 54% of 1155 is 623.7.
