The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 53% of 6792.
53% means 53 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 53 from 100, I have X from 6792 :
53 |
100 |
X |
6792 |
100 ----> 53
6792 ----> X
X =53 x 6792 |
100 |
X = (53 x 6792) / 100
X = 3599.76
So, 53% of 6792 is 3599.76.
