The easy method to to calculate percentages of any Value
Everyone knows that there are arithmetic operations that we need on a daily basis, and among these operations we find the process of calculating the percentage value of a certain number (total value) to determine, for example:
One percent is one hundredth. To indicate this, we use the % sign. So 5 percent is equal to 5%, 0.05, 5/100, or five hundredths. It's that simple! That's all very well, but most of the time we don't just use percentages. Sometimes, we want to represent the ratio between 2 numbers.
we want to calculate 29% of 360.
29% means 29 for each 100. So the approach would be: if I have 29 from 100, I have X from 360 :
29 |
100 |
X |
360 |
100 ----> 29
360 ----> X
X =29 x 360 |
100 |
X = (29 x 360) / 100
X = 104.4
So, 29% of 360 is 104.4.
